Grandad Where do I start it so surreal to think your gone although I know you aren’t suffering anymore and your with all you other family up there in the sky, well will meet again one day. I will always cherish the memories I have of you and how it always brought the family together round you house and the smell and the laughter that there always was. Love you forever

Grandad, where do i begin.. I still have that same smell from your home that id always be greeted with when you opened the door to us it lingers on my mind. i admired your simplicity with everything you did, to the food we always had when we were there to the same TV that you refused to replace, and i feel that reflects on all of us to this day. May you be at rest now, with the rest of our great family in the heavens. Miss you eternally.

Grandad, you always brought joy and humility into our lives. From the moment you opened the door and greeted us with warm hugs, we felt welcomed into your vintage home. Your appreciation for the old-school way of things and your humble nature shone through every aspect of your life. Your life's journey was marked by perseverance and struggle. You grew up in the Dominica, and at the age of 21, you moved to the United Kingdom in pursuit of a better life. The economic under investment in your homeland made it difficult for your family's farm to thrive, and you knew that you had to leave to create a better future for yourself. Your struggles and pursuit for a better life brought across your humbleness, which was a virtue that many young people today may not understand. You faced many obstacles in your journey, but you never lost your kind and humble nature. Your strength and resilience were an inspiration to us all. Your vintage style and your appreciation for the little things in life were a reflection of your past journeys. Your home was a sanctuary of warmth and simplicity, a reminder of where you came from and what you had overcome. We will never forget the warmth and love you brought into our lives. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

My dear Grandad. As I write this, I can’t help getting tearful, but then I remember to take comfort in the special and long lasting memories that I will cherish forever. From coming round on Saturdays for dinner and having free run of the house and ‘best room’, spending time at the caravan during the summer holidays, days out by the seaside, to meeting you at the betting shop or bingo hall as we knew we would find you there. You are a special and much-loved man who was a constant in our lives and your ways made me laugh. I’m pleased that you got to meet your little man Harrison and I’ll make sure he remembers you. Always in my heart and mind, whilst being greatly missed. Rest in perfect peace and sleep easy Grandad. Love you ❤️

Having you as my Uncle has always and will always be the greatest of pleasures, always enjoyed meeting up with you Uncle, you will be sorely missed, forever in our thoughts and hearts, RIP Uncle Cyril. x
